The Philip Rosenau Company has been dedicated to “Excellence in Training” for nearly two decades. Our Training Center has been designed to facilitate both hands-on and classroom style training.
Bill McGarvey brings over 30 years of industry experience to the role of Director of Training and Sustainability. He is a Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) Certified Trainer, a Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) ISSA Certification Expert, a member of the Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI), has attended numerous manufacturer sponsored training workshops, and delivered training to several thousand customers during his tenure with us.

CMI Custodial Technician Certification Program
The Custodial Technician Certification Program is divided into two levels, Basic and Advanced. The Basic level includes five modules; each module focuses on a key area of the cleaning operation. The Advanced level expands on three of the modules covered in the basic level – carpet care, floor care and project cleaning.
Materials for each level consist of a training handbook and a certification exam. Participants who complete the training and achieve a score of 80% or better receive a CMI certificate stating they have passed the level of the course. In addition to the Certificate of Achievement, graduates receive special patches that can be worn on their work uniforms. Handbook and test fees are included in the cost of registration.
